robert_parker Posted February 17, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 17, 2013 Great angle of view and light - you needed to be pretty close to the swan to get that shot, too
Gerard Posted February 17, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted February 17, 2013 This was around 0.5 of a meter, Robert. I was slightly fearful the front element of the Heliar might get a peck.
jimofnyc Posted February 17, 2013 Share #7 Posted February 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Were you coaxing them with 'swan yummies' or was it natural curiosity?
Gerard Posted February 17, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted February 17, 2013 Natural behaviour for the swan... it expected the silly human to come loaded with stale bread. Unfortunately for him, all I had was my Leica. It seemed tempted to try that, but I got kind of protective when it started eyeing the M9 up for size. I guess a picture taken slightly later might have been interesting had I been brave enough to wait it out.
