John Thawley Posted February 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had assignment work at this year's Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona last week. While running around and recording the race-pace activities using big fast glass and lighting quick Canon DSLR cameras, I decided to get a little more personal satisfaction by walking around taking in the sights with my Leica M9 equipped with a 90mm Summicron. It's a little more personal for me and I really enjoy the slower, more deliberate style of shooting that this camera demands. malcolm Posted February 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2013 Very well done portraits; I particularly like the one of Scott Pruett (eventual co-winner in DP).
pauledell Posted February 1, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 1, 2013 John, Excellent portraits of the drivers. You have managed to capture more than just a record of them, but a bit of their connection to the race. Paul
