Here are a couple of shots on Sentosa Island, Singapore. The first one is M8 with a deep red filter in front of a CV21mm ColorSkopar. The second is M-E with a 35mm Summarit.

Both are fine pictures. I like the added interest and strength of the first with the person walking but like the colored version better with the slightly lower perspective that gives it more depth.

Yes, I agree with you. The B&W is quite heavily cropped as stuff outside the arcade on the left added nothing. I did experiment with a much more severe crop showing only the roof and the hanging lights. That works quite well too. But that colour of paint is quite eye-catching. Seems a shame to deny that in pursuit of geometry!
