Don't let the opportunity pass -- it's a superb lens. On film I never noticed any focus shift. On the RD-1 I did, but that's likely due to the camera. Get the hood, mine flared easily (later copies supposedly less so). Be prepared for softer to 'glowing' f1,4, sharper f2 than the Summicron vs. IV and most beautiful out-of-focus rendering. Perhaps I should not have sold mine...:o

My (1986) 35mm Lux still produces nice results like this pic taken on BW400CN and subsequently scanned. Hand held, no screens, no post-processing apart from scratch removal on the neg (M4-P since sent for CLA). Lovely grain n’est pas?;)
