I own both and love both. If going out with other E46 lenses I take the 90 and if going out with other E60 lenses I take the 21.

Just something I discovered. I found an unlikely item that fits snugly over the hood of the 21 and that is an old Hasselblad lens shade cover #TM-20. It is plastic so flexes nicely.

I should have said I prefer taking like sized lenses when using the MM since filters fit all lenses uniformly.

TM 20 is the hood cap i believe.

Yes, on the inside it say "Lens Shade cover fits Hasselblad Plastic Lens Shade"

"80mm to 250mm lenses" "TM-20"

It's a little bit beveled on the inside edges so that is why I can squeeze it over the 21/2.8 Elmarit-M square hood.

Yes a cap like this i guess. Is there something written on the hood itself?

Sorry i misread your post above, i thought you were using an Hasselblad hood with your 21 so i wondered which one could fit. The hood cap for Elmarit 21/2.8 asph and 24/2.8 asph is 14041 but for the pre-asph E60 version i don't know. I suspect Leica did not make hood caps for it then but i may be wrong.

No problem. I am only using the Hassy TM-20 cap as I do not have a Leica one for that square Leica hood.
