mvravr Posted January 8, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted January 8, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am looking for a yellow, red and orange filter that will fit the 35mm f1.4 summilux from the early 90s (pre ASPH). I have the hood with the part that unscrews and accepts the filter between the adapter which snaps on the lens and the hood itself. After some research, I discovered that what I am looking for is a serie(s) VII filter made by Leica, with models 13006 through 13009 (depending on the color). The problem is I can't find these online (let alone in any store in the Boston area). Â After some further research, I found out that any 49mm filter will fit. I actually was using an IR 49 non Leica filter with my original M8. Â Does anyone know where I can purchase the original Series VII filters? If not, I will try to find some 49mm filters. Any recommendations about where I should look? Â Thanks George

jaapv Posted January 8, 2013 Share #2  Posted January 8, 2013 http://www.foto-huppert.de/default2.asp  And in the USA they can probably be ordered through B&H.
lct Posted January 8, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted January 8, 2013 You need E41 filters up to serial number # 2166700 and Series VII or E49 filters as from serial number # 2166701. Several Series VII Leica colored filters are available on the web. Just type Leica filter 13006, Leica filter 13007 and/or Leica filter 13008 in the search box of your browser. Beware that some order numbers are erroneous though. Right order numbers are: - yellow: 13006 - yellow-green: 13007 - orange: 13008
dpitt Posted January 8, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted January 8, 2013 You can also use an inverted E49 filter from Leica to insert in the hood of the 35 summilux

Bill W Posted January 9, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted January 9, 2013 There is a 13007 on ebay now. If you are patient you can probably find them there. Set up a saved search and have it report as new items appear.
tobey bilek Posted January 9, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted January 9, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) B+W special order. Cost was same as similarly sized filter when I last ordered them. Wait was not excessive. Long waits are from the dealer holding back to "group" orders.
Bill W Posted January 9, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted January 9, 2013 B+W special order. Cost was same as similarly sized filter when I last ordered them. Wait was not excessive. Long waits are from the dealer holding back to "group" orders. Tobey, I asked B+W about a special order and they were not very receptive. I was trying to get a green 46mm filter. Their option was the cut down a larger one and remount it. It would have been about three times the cost. I found the filter on ebay luckily. I ahve wondered if they will start building some of their legacy filters again with the advent of the MM. I know other manufacturers make them but I prefer B+W.
