Jabberwockt Posted November 27, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently purchased an M9 and I am really enjoying it, but I've noticed that the M9 leaves a very unique color fingerprint on the files. Sometimes this is desirable for me, but sometimes I dislike it and would rather have more natural colors. My other observations are that the camera seems to have a tendency toward cooler white balance and that green and blues hues are very saturated. Saturation seems a bit high compared to Canon body for example. I've played around with the colors in Lightroom quite a bit and I'm still having trouble unscrambling the Leica egg. Could anyone share their insights on how to possibly undo the Leica colors?

01af Posted November 27, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2012 In Lightroom (or Camera Raw), go to the Camera Calibration tab, select the "Embedded" profile, and then change the RGB primaries as follows: Red Hue: +15 Red Saturation: -15 Green Hue: 0 Green Saturation: -5 Blue Hue: -15 Blue Saturation: -25 Save as the new Camera Raw default. These values work for me—but don't take them as gospel; consider them a starting point for your own adjustments.
