Undoing the Leica colors

I recently purchased an M9 and I am really enjoying it, but I've noticed that the M9 leaves a very unique color fingerprint on the files. Sometimes this is desirable for me, but sometimes I dislike it and would rather have more natural colors. My other observations are that the camera seems to have a tendency toward cooler white balance and that green and blues hues are very saturated. Saturation seems a bit high compared to Canon body for example. I've played around with the colors in Lightroom quite a bit and I'm still having trouble unscrambling the Leica egg.

Could anyone share their insights on how to possibly undo the Leica colors?

In Lightroom (or Camera Raw), go to the Camera Calibration tab, select the "Embedded" profile, and then change the RGB primaries as follows:

Red Hue: +15

Red Saturation: -15

Green Hue: 0

Green Saturation: -5

Blue Hue: -15

Blue Saturation: -25

Save as the new Camera Raw default. These values work for me—but don't take them as gospel; consider them a starting point for your own adjustments.
