It's nice to see someone using an M9 as a backup to their film cameras. This is how it should be. Let a lab take the strain for developing and scanning and sit back to enjoy the results. Use a digital if you have to for low light. It's a shame the pricing is all back to front though, the film cameras being of more value ;)

Nick, I see you have 'swapped' the case on one of them! ;)

Shortly I will send you a PM to my DropBox which will have some pics of interest to you. I was going to post them on the forum but thought it would be better to let you make that decision. :D

Thanks for the responses

I don't think it's too many cameras. I plan to mainly use 2: the M3 mostly with a 50, and the IIIf mostly with a 35. The M9, as I say, is really back up, of for very low light.

I expect 8 films will be more than enough for me in a quite short trip. I have been there photgraphing already, and it is Singapore not Jakata or someehere.

As to why HP5 and Tri-X, that's a fair point. I actually decided, as a general rule, and to help distinguish my films, to use Ilford FP4 or HP5 in my screw cameras as a staple, and T-Max 100 or 400 in the Ms. But I have a lot of Tri-X and last time I'm in Singapore I used an MP and Tri-x. So realy it is to use u some Tri-X and to distinguish shots from the M3 and those from the IIIf.

By the way anyone know any good second hand Leica sture in Singapore?
