Advertisement Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Hi Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS, Take a look here Fisheye for M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted November 7, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2012 I use the Fisheye-Elmarit R on an adapter and it works brilliantly. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/123246-fisheye-m9.html
pgk Posted November 7, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2012 No but the R one will work as will many others via adapters. I used an R 16mm on my M8 for a time - focus was easy with the fisheye dof and results were fine but obviously the corners weren't used on the M8. Not easy to figure out fov though! RoySmith Posted November 10, 2012 Share #5 Posted November 10, 2012 The other option is the Contax Carl Zeiss T* 16mm F2.8 Distagon-F Fisheye Lens with the C/Y Mount. Novoflex makes an adapter. I got one last year and it is very sharp. You can view the MTF data here. They are hard to find.
jaapv Posted November 13, 2012 Share #6 Posted November 13, 2012 I am thinking of getting it for the new M so focus picking should help I don't quite see how focus peaking should help with the field of view. For a 16 mm full coverage fisheye the CV 15 viewfinder gives a decent approximation, for a circular 8 mm one it is simple: 180 degrees... I think btw that focus peaking will not work anyway. the huge DOF will have it totally confused.

Japp what I was meant to have said was Liveview and EVF will help as you will be looking through the lens so no issue on framing
