I downloaded the latest edition of Black + White Magazine onto my iPad this morning, and found that -- lo and behold -- they loaned Monochroms to six British photographers and have published their work.

It's a terrific magazine, available through the iTunes store here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/black-white-photography-leading/id428498721?mt=8 Probably the link only for US users, but I am betting that at least our friends in the UK will be able to get access to it through iTunes.

Even if you don't wish to subscribe, for those who'd like to see what some quite good photographers have done with the Monochrom, I believe you can purchase a single issue.

A good magazine - it must be, I have been a subscriber for a few years now... ;)

The first prize in their just closed annual competition was, wait for it, wait for it - a Leica M Monochrom.

A pity they did not lend me one for their feature, I would have done so much better with it. ;)

It is a good magazine. I down load it on my iPad for $5.99 per issue which is less than in the store. The one after the current will have the winning shot from the person who won the monochrome. It will be interesting to see

Of all people, it would be a no brainer to include you in the panel or did they think it was a conflict of interest since you knew the participants.

No the Monochrom day and the Monochrom competition are two different things. Anyway the judging panel bar was way too high... Ian Berry amongst them ;)

What A Big Headed Git! For the record WE had the camera and 35mm Summicron to use for about one hour at a fixed venue, and the magazine then looked through our pictures and chose just three from each of us. I have not seen the issue yet, BUT if you are SO good may I suggest you prove it pictorialy rather than deride our efforts via cheap words!.
