Advertisement Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Hi swamiji, Take a look here C1 v7 & No Monochrom/S2 support. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
esquire53 Posted October 25, 2012 Share #2  Posted October 25, 2012 Just to let folks know. I guess I won't be upgrading anytime soon. Supported cameras  I got the product info in my mail as well and had a quick look at the supported cameras. Maybe they work on it when the other new Leica products hit the user. The X2 is also not on the list, but that might be a the same as X1  Best regards
C_R Posted October 25, 2012 Share #3  Posted October 25, 2012 Just to let folks know. I guess I won't be upgrading anytime soon. Supported cameras  Yes, its a shame. For Monochrom, Photo Ninja is an alternative to LR4.  Carsten

Luke_Miller Posted October 30, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted October 30, 2012 I check the Phase One users forum regularly and Phase One was taking a lot of heat there because Capture One did not support some of the recently released Nikon bodies. Those bodies are now supported in version 7. I did not see any complaints about the Leica S2 or Monochrom not being supported so I guess the squeeky wheels got the grease. You might want to create a support case for the missing Leica models. That seems to be the way to get their attention. Version 7 is a big improvement over version 6 and well worth the upgrade price. Maarten Posted November 1, 2012 Share #6 Â Posted November 1, 2012 Hi Luke, the S2 is not supported because it is being seen as competition to the Phase One digital backs. The M9 was the last Leica that was offered as package deal with Capture 1. I am curious now if that means PhaseOne is going to ignore all new Leica's including the new M, or it is just their private war against the S2? Anyway I do not see how this 'competitor thinking' in the end will help PhaseOne as a company. Whether customers buy a PhaseOne camera or an S2, an S2 customer of C1 is a customer as well. With their current policy they lose twice. Â Maarten
esquire53 Posted November 2, 2012 Share #7  Posted November 2, 2012 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Luke, the S2 is not supported because it is being seen as competition to the Phase One digital backs.  that would be understandable if they make more money from cameras than from selling software. I think PO it is a different system after all.  The M9 was the last Leica that was offered as package deal with Capture 1. M8 (M8.2?) it was. M9 came with LR I think, at least mine was  I am curious now if that means PhaseOne is going to ignore all new Leica's including the new M, or it is just their private war against the S2? Not sure about S and DXO is also not up to all Leica  Best regards Edited November 2, 2012 by esquire53
