Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted October 24, 2012 Share #4 ย Posted October 24, 2012 Yeah, nice one. LOL etc etc. Always good to see a guy on a luxury camera forum laughing at those less fortunate. Not sure who that was directed at but shooting street photography in my eyes is shooting the was it is. Had I seen an interesting picture of someone with a Gucci handbag I am sure I would have taken it.........but I didn't Anyway I sure as hell had a good time shooting these pictures especially the second one with the guy sat under the graffiti .............you would have thought I had just mugged him the way he was screaming :)

I actually think the last photo is the best of these, I just don't find any amusement in it the way Syed seems to. ย I enjoy shooting street photography too, though I can't say my pleasure in doing so comes from upsetting people by doing it. It generally doesn't make for particularly great street photography IMO.
Jerren Posted October 24, 2012 Share #6 ย Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) Yeah, nice one. LOL etc etc. Always good to see a guy on a luxury camera forum laughing at those less fortunate. ย I think Syed is just saying its strange/a little chuckle worthy to see a guy selling very nice looking car suspension in an alley. ย I enjoyed these too btw. I understand the OP when he says, got some smiles and got some bad looks. That tends to be a part of street photography sometimes. I don't think he was tossing pebbles at people to upset them. He would shoot the shot and then they'd protest. I don't think that harms the photograph as most of the time, the protest comes in after the fact. Indina Posted October 24, 2012 Share #8 ย Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) Disrespect for a person's "NO" brings bad carma and can be considered rude. Ignoring this and posting it to a global audience makes it worse. ย It's like pointing your camera like a gun towards people. Respect is the key to the game. pauledell Posted October 25, 2012 Share #10 ย Posted October 25, 2012 Your shots are for the most part excellent but for those who didn't want to be photographed, their wishes should be respected. That's why I am reluctant to do this type of photography frequently. ย Paul
