andreifurnea Posted October 24, 2012 Share #1 ย Posted October 24, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hy everyone, ย My father gave me a Leica Leitz 200mm F4 Telyt with an Leica/Leitz adapter OUBIO/16466. Is there any change to find an adapter from this lens to Canon DSLR. I've searched all over in my country for over one year now, but without success. I would really appreciate any help in finding what adapter should i look for, because this lens mean very much to me, because is from my father. ย Thank you

k-hawinkler Posted October 24, 2012 Share #5 ย Posted October 24, 2012 Well, I don't own a Canon camera, but I do own Nikon cameras. For my Nikons there are actually adapters of both kind. The one I pointed to above adapts to the OUBIO/16466. Novoflex makes all sorts of adapters. But they are not cheap. Can you point to a particular adapter you have in mind? andreifurnea Posted October 25, 2012 Author Share #6 ย Posted October 25, 2012 Well, I just send an email to Novoflex and they send me back replay that they don't make this adapter. I saw tha Nikon have an adapter for telyt 200mm F4, that's why I hoped that Canon wuld have something similar as well.I really want this adapter, but it seems it's so hard to get. I found out that the mount is Visoflex II or III on Qubio adapter, but I can't find any adapter from that t Canon DSLR. I saw on flick that one user is usng this lens on his Canon dslr and I send him a message, but no reply so far. I really don't know where should I search. If anyone knows anything please help. thank you all for reply
wlaidlaw Posted October 25, 2012 Share #7 ย Posted October 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think this is the one you need Leica Visoflex M Lens to Canon EOS Adapter w Focus | eBay. This Visoflex lens, the Telyt 200/f4, has a 39mm thread, screwing into the OUBIO adapter, which in turn has a Leica M bayonet at the back. The mount to sensor distance of this lens combo is 27.8mm + 41mm = 68.8mm. The Telyt 200 is an OK but not great lens. ย Wilson

gyoung Posted October 25, 2012 Share #9 ย Posted October 25, 2012 I have a Fotodiox adapter for Visoflex to Nikon, used for the 200 Telyt +OUBIO mainly but also for the lens heads of the 90/2.8 and 135/4 and /2.8 in short mounts on my Nikon bodies. Beware that there are longer adapters available which will take the 200 and other similar lenses without the OUBIO, but will not take the shorter lenses in short mounts. Should be easy to find similar on Ebay with a search for Visoflex, Canon, or look for Fotodiox web site, Leica Visoflex M to Canon EOS Camera - Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter should do my adapter is excellent quality, and far cheaper than Novoflex. ย Gerry
