planner Posted October 23, 2012 Share #1 ย Posted October 23, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ken Rockwell rhapsodizes over the F2.8 Biogon and I have the 35mm lens and its great. But I am hostage to the magic of Leica glass and trying to decide whether a USD1600 Elmarit is preferable to the USD1400 Biogon. HELP!!!

FrozenInTime Posted October 23, 2012 Share #4 ย Posted October 23, 2012 The Zeiss is way better into the corners than the pre-ASPH 21mm Elmarit and seemed to have better into the sun the ASPH Elmarit.
sblitz Posted October 23, 2012 Share #5 ย Posted October 23, 2012 i had the biogon 21mm on my m9 and thought it was great lens, no complaints, didn't even have red edge problem (okay on occasion) BEFORE the software fix and none after. only reason i got rid of it is to trade it in for a 28mm elmarit. have no worries, it is a great lens.
