}{B Posted October 23, 2012 Share #1 ย Posted October 23, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) ย ย Leica M7 & 35mm Summicron - Ilford Delta 400 & Red filter ย I wasn't planning on walking this way until I saw the cloud formations which made me think it would be worth taking a few more shots of this view even though I'd been here before.

pauledell Posted October 23, 2012 Share #4 ย Posted October 23, 2012 Howard, ย Wonderful shots. I think I like the first a bit better. Great tones. ย Paul
}{B Posted October 23, 2012 Author Share #5 ย Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks for all the comments. I had one roll of Delta 400 left and I decided to experiment with a red filter as for once it was a sunny day. The original shows noticable grain in the sky which I have tried to smooth out in Lightroom but too much adjustment smeers fine detail.
Carduelis Posted October 24, 2012 Share #6 ย Posted October 24, 2012 Very good shots Howard with well considered depth of field. Prefer #2. Wish the lower branch in #1 had been clear of the distant features on the hill.
}{B Posted October 24, 2012 Author Share #7 ย Posted October 24, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very good shots Howard with well considered depth of field. Prefer #2. Wish the lower branch in #1 had been clear of the distant features on the hill. ย Thanks. I did try to get that branch away from the skyline but I also wanted its shape to frame the buildings. It looks like I should have crouched down just a fraction more as it does touch very slightly.
e1k3 Posted October 28, 2012 Share #8 ย Posted October 28, 2012 Like both, but prefer #2. The cloud formation reminds me of cold winter days. They indeed make their contribution to the pictures.
