stump4545 Posted October 22, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) on the .95 or the 90mm cron for ex, you can push the aperture ring a little past .95 or f2 on the cron when selecting your aperture. does pushing past the last stop purposely or by accident do anything? Advertisement Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Hi stump4545, Take a look here aperture ring. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
giordano Posted October 22, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2012 A sharp twist of the aperture ring past the widest setting activates the Q-features (parachute, bazooka, emergency air supply depending on the individual lens). It also breaks the connection between the aperture ring and the diaphragm.
earleygallery Posted October 22, 2012 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2012 Some play is inevitable. Lens barrels are made from metal which expands/contracts - if Leica made it so it stopped fast at full aperture one day you might find it stuck solid!
