andybarton Posted October 20, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 20, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is it just me, or does anyone else have problems getting out of crop mode in CS6? Click on the crop tool - crop - then I just cannot get back to any other tool. Or at least, it's really hit and miss, with no rhyme or reason. Never had this problem on CS4 Any ideas? Thanks
Advertisement Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Crop box in PS CS6. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Luke_Miller Posted October 20, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 20, 2012 I have not experienced that (Windows 7 64bit). Crop tool works normally.
k-hawinkler Posted October 20, 2012 Share #3 Posted October 20, 2012 After cropping I typically click on the Hand Tool. That seems to work for me.
andybarton Posted October 20, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted October 20, 2012 Must be just me then Thanks!
250swb Posted October 20, 2012 Share #5 Posted October 20, 2012 I just go back to any other tool, usually the magnifying glass. I think the crop selection box hangs around to give you a second chance by left clicking, rather than start all over again like in previous versions. 250swb Posted October 21, 2012 Share #6 Posted October 21, 2012 I think I meant 'right clicking (on the image)' Steve

andybarton Posted October 21, 2012 Author Share #8 Posted October 21, 2012 That's the problem. More often than not, that doesn't work.
archi4 Posted October 21, 2012 Share #9 Posted October 21, 2012 Andy What works for me is to press the v key. Chosing another tool with the mouse does not work consistently for me

Guest WPalank Posted October 25, 2012 Share #12 Posted October 25, 2012 AndyWhat works for me is to press the v key. Chosing another tool with the mouse does not work consistently for me I just click on the "Move Tool" (V). Topmost tool in the Palette. Works 100% of the time for me. It's just an old habit from older versions.
Paul J Posted October 28, 2012 Share #13 Posted October 28, 2012 I came a cropper (pun intended) with this one. I do like the non destructive function and the new crop method in general but it took a while for me to get into the habit of pressing a keyboard tool shortcut to get out.
