skinner Posted October 20, 2012 Author Share #3 ย Posted October 20, 2012 Thanks e1, what you see is only about 1 metre of sand with tiny dunes and the camera held against the ground.
pauledell Posted October 21, 2012 Share #4 ย Posted October 21, 2012 Steve, ย Great composition and tones but I would have liked to see a bit more dof with the middle and background a bit sharper. Just mu opinion. ย Paul
elmarman Posted October 21, 2012 Share #5 ย Posted October 21, 2012 yes, I agree with more Depth of Field -- it would bring out the textures in the foreground better.
skinner Posted October 21, 2012 Author Share #6 ย Posted October 21, 2012 Thanks both, I do agree with you, it was set at small aperture but in this case I don't think it was possible as the foreground you see started only about 10cm from the front of the lens and the background is only about a meter away so it's restricted by the minimum focusing distance of the lens. Maybe I'll revisit with a macro on a new digital M one day but no plans yet ย Many thanks for your comments
