While on the way up to the summit:

 

 

I met this gentleman on the bike (in the crop below) at the base. While I was still making my way up in the car, he had already been to the summit and we met again and waved while he was going back.

quite a stunning series.

A feeling of freedom and the impression of a forsaken world being framed in good compositions.

The picture with the young woman is showing the fragility of mankind facing the wilderness.

Quite effective near-far concept with the great dof showing the young woman in the foreground and the vast landscape in the background. The other shots are excellent too.

Stu - No D800 yet. I did borrow a D3X for the Whiteface trip as a backup to the M9. It is a fine machine, but when I compare its weight with the M9, I immediately sober up.
