ravinj Posted October 17, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) While on the way up to the summit: I met this gentleman on the bike (in the crop below) at the base. While I was still making my way up in the car, he had already been to the summit and we met again and waved while he was going back. Advertisement Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Hi ravinj, Take a look here Whiteface Mountain, New York. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Iduna Posted October 17, 2012 Share #2 Posted October 17, 2012 ravinj, quite a stunning series. A feeling of freedom and the impression of a forsaken world being framed in good compositions. The picture with the young woman is showing the fragility of mankind facing the wilderness.
pauledell Posted October 17, 2012 Share #3 Posted October 17, 2012 Ravinj, Quite effective near-far concept with the great dof showing the young woman in the foreground and the vast landscape in the background. The other shots are excellent too. Paul
stuny Posted October 18, 2012 Share #4 Posted October 18, 2012 Ravi - A beautiful, dramatic set. Did your 800 deliver yet?
ravinj Posted October 19, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted October 19, 2012 Iduna, Paul, Stu, Olsen, K-H - Thank you. Stu - No D800 yet. I did borrow a D3X for the Whiteface trip as a backup to the M9. It is a fine machine, but when I compare its weight with the M9, I immediately sober up.
