colonel Posted October 12, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted October 12, 2012 I like the bottom half of this perhaps a square crop on the bottom half or perhaps the picture should have originally been landscape on the bottom ? BTW the landscapes on your two websites are outstanding!
Bill Allsopp Posted October 12, 2012 Share #4 Posted October 12, 2012 perhaps a square crop on the bottom half or perhaps the picture should have originally been landscape on the bottom ? BTW the landscapes on your two websites are outstanding! Thank you. I have just had a look at your link, some outstanding images; I particularly like the images from Israel and in the underground. Square crop would be good for the jogger, the light on the upper window is divisive.
stuny Posted October 12, 2012 Share #5 Posted October 12, 2012 Harold - Almost excellent. I think all you need to crop is the reflected sky part of the windows.
pauledell Posted October 12, 2012 Share #6 Posted October 12, 2012 Harold, A wonderful picture with the composition, tones, sharpness and atmosphere. There's a good argument for either your original version or a square version with the window cropped but either way, it is fine. Paul

pauledell Posted October 12, 2012 Share #8 Posted October 12, 2012 Harold, Now that I have seen your square crop, I agree with Stuart that all that would be needed is to crop the top half of the window where the reflection is. I think there is a loss of strength and the needed depth in the square aspect. Paul
