Avatar Posted October 11, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted October 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought a Thumbs up and it's been sitting here waiting for the Monochrome..Now that the camera is here, the half case I got from Luigi won't fit with the Thumbs up. Â I think I see almost an 'outline' or where it would be cut out to accomodate the Thumbs up. Â Not sure I really will like or need the thumbs up but am wondering if perhaps the outline can by cut out but someone who works with leather and if it would fit.. Â anyone ever try this? La Morte Posted October 12, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted October 12, 2012 Take a Stanley knife/carpet knife and put the case on a bread-plank and cut it yourself, - its not difficult and quick. Â Streamlight Photography

AlainLandry Posted October 12, 2012 Share #7 Â Posted October 12, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Same with me... I use a stanley knife and I start with a light pressure on the knife. The results is a perfect cut.

The Thumbs up with the hot shoe will work but I am worried the frame lines will be off as the hot shoe will be ~5mm higher, if that’s the case then I guess I just use it with the 35 & 50 mm

Fang Posted October 15, 2012 Share #14 Â Posted October 15, 2012 Photos of the Thumbie. However, I don't think the Luigi half case can be modified to suit the Thumbie. Has anyone modified the Luigi's for the Thumbie ?
Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted October 15, 2012 Share #15 Â Posted October 15, 2012 I dont like the look of that, I will go naked instead and stick with the half case
LeicaMSeattle Posted October 15, 2012 Share #16 Â Posted October 15, 2012 Here is my M9-P with the LeicaTime case modfied for Tim Issac's/Match Technical's Thumb's Up. The "No back" option is the best for the 9-P IMHO.
JT07 Posted October 21, 2012 Share #17 Â Posted October 21, 2012 Did u recently buy the case? If so contact Luigi, he may be willing to take it back in exchange for his case w the thumbs up cut out. He's very fair on things like that.

The "No back" option is the best for the 9-P IMHO. Â Hi, I have the same set up from Luigi but I've never really been thrilled with the "fit" of the case with the cutout for the thumbs up. How does yours fit? Is it real snug? Mine seems a little lose around the back, maybe just my imagination but I expected it t fit like a glove.
