zenonzinonos Posted October 11, 2012 Share #1 Posted October 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've searched through the forum and can only find X1 or X2 threads referring to this viewfinder - does anyone have any experience using it on a D-Lux4? I appreciate that it's designed for the equivelant of a 35mm lens but that's not a problem for me as I usually set my zoom to that focal length anyway (old habits die hard). Advertisement Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Hi zenonzinonos, Take a look here Olympus VF1 viewfinder on D-Lux4?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jhc Posted December 5, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 5, 2012 Hi, I bought the Olympus VF1 for my D-Lux 5 and it does not fit. The electronic connection is too short and can not be connected to rear of camera. Don't know if the connection point on the back of your camera would be in the same place as my 5. If it is, it won't fit.
efix Posted December 5, 2012 Share #3 Posted December 5, 2012 The VF1 is an optical viewfinder that fits any standard hot shoe. It should fit the D-Lux 4. The VF2 however is electronic, but has a different interface than the Panasonic EVFs which can be fitted on the D-Lux series. The Pansonic and Olympus EVFs are not mutually interchangeable. The Panasonic ones fit the D-Lux series cameras, the Olympus ones fit the X-series and the new M.
