Popular Post johnbuckley Posted September 18, 2012 Popular Post Share #8 Posted September 18, 2012 Jaap - thanks for setting up this section. Below are some images, all taken with the Monochrom and the Noctilux 0.95 at the Bishop's Garden of the National Cathedral in D.C. I intend on going there often in the weeks ahead and accumulating a portfolio on Mono/Nocti images for sharing. Thank you for looking. BTW - I have just gotten large prints of these, and they are glorious as prints. Welcome, dear visitor! johnbuckley Posted September 18, 2012 Share #9 Posted September 18, 2012 A very different approach, but same tools -- Mono and Nocti, with a three-stop ND filter. Welcome, dear visitor! Popular Post AbbeyFoto Posted September 18, 2012 Popular Post Share #11 Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) Altar at Ely Cathedral MM ISO 1600 new 35mm 1.4 with weak yellow filter, exposure 1/180 sec, not sure of aperture, maybe f2 or f1.4 Very little post processing of full image apart from correcting angle and the export function of LR4. I do not believe small reduced images due justice but I have added a crop to give some idea of the detail. Welcome, dear visitor! AbbeyFoto Posted September 18, 2012 Share #13 Posted September 18, 2012 MM, Lux 35, Heliopan Red 29 We could do with a systematic discussion of various filters with this camera. I have only played with an old light yellow filter so far.
Timothy D Posted September 18, 2012 Share #14 Posted September 18, 2012 We could do with a systematic discussion of various filters with this camera. I have only played with an old light yellow filter so far. I played with Heliopan orange 22, red 29 and yellow 5 - I'm not sure that this might be enough experience for a systematic discussion of filters. AbbeyFoto Posted September 19, 2012 Share #19 Posted September 19, 2012 I played with Heliopan orange 22, red 29 and yellow 5 - I'm not sure that this might be enough experience for a systematic discussion of filters. Maybe not but I like the impact of the red filter in your images. Must try one myself.
AbbeyFoto Posted September 19, 2012 Share #20 Posted September 19, 2012 Visited my old college (King's Cambridge). I had to get my college card from the development office housed in the Gibbs Building; outside the office was this scene with a portrait of Alan Turing. No attempt to modernise the place! MM, 35/1.4, light yellow filter, a little cropping, otherwise just LR4's export filtering. ISO 5000 and the noise is apparent at 100% but apt for this image. Welcome, dear visitor!
