iain225 Posted September 7, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Im looking for for some advice regarding a case for my M6. Ive found someone selling a case ,originally for M2/M3 . Anyone know if this case would fit the Leica M6. Even if the bottom half fitted that would be fine. It would appear that the tripod screw is on the correct side and place but without actually trying it.... Any help greatly appreciated Cheershttp://cdn.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/images/icons/icon7.gif

TomB_tx Posted September 7, 2012 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2012 It should fit, if the back of the lower part is cut out for the film-type reminder dial on the back door. I use a "Mr Zhou" lower case on M6/M4/M3 - but it was made for the M6 and has the cutout circle on the back. The M6 ISO setting dial is in that location, and protrudes more than the M2/M3 film type dial. M2/M3 were also available with either the now-standard 1/4" tripod screw, or the German 3/8" screw. Some cases have the larger one.

I would advocate trying the actual case on your M6, just to see if it meets *your* requirements vis-a-vis fit and aesthetics. Hope this helps. Good luck.
