Sanjit Das Posted August 9, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 9, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there, I am a documentary photographer and I am looking for a more reliable (and fast) software for editing my photos. My normal workflow involves editing in photo mechanic and eventually colour correcting in Lightroom 4. Photo mechanic somehow doesnt work well with DNG and looks pixelated (or doesn't load up well) - could you recommend an alternate editing software? Thanks, Sanjit

zlatkob Posted August 9, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 9, 2012 With Photo Mechanic and Lightroom, you are already using the best/fastest editing software, in my opinion. Your problem is that the M9 embeds a very small jpeg preview in the DNG file. Photo Mechanic will show it as very pixelated in full-screen mode, or as very small when zoomed to 1:1. The problem and solution are described here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/188839-does-m9-embed-decent-jpeg.html#post1750732
