ashwinrao1 Posted August 5, 2012 Share #4 Posted August 5, 2012 Try Ken Hansen, who's very well regarded as an independed Leica Dealer. I'll PM you his email. Best, Ashwin

Guest WPalank Posted August 5, 2012 Share #6 Posted August 5, 2012 You literally missed the gate by two weeks. I literally had four dealers calling me within a couple of hours of each other with availability. Unfortunately, one was in Europe and their "shipping to the US" specialist wouldn't be available for a week. In the meantime I was told horror stories about getting it through our customs. So I went with the dealer I could drive over a bridge and pick up in person. I agree with Ashwin on Ken. He had the 3 stop ND Filter in stock for the Nocti and was a dealer that got in touch with me just after I pulled the trigger with the final dealer. I told him to please send me the Filter, on a Saturday no less. Within 20 minutes I had a shipping notice that it was on it's way. It wasn't until the end of the day that I got a Pay-Pal payment request. The filter was on my doorstep Monday. I think it helps if you know my friend Stephen Patterson. He sold me my first Leica. an M3, in 1973. I bought my DMR & M8 from him as well. Ken was the first Leica dealer in NYC. I don't think anyone knows as much about Leica products as Ken. He gets things done. He's a real gentleman and a man of honor.

mercan Posted August 9, 2012 Share #11 Posted August 9, 2012 Just two weeks ago I paid 7300USD for a brand new Noctilux in Bahrain Leica dealer. I asked if there was a special discount but they said that, the price of the noctilux in their list was around 7700USD, so it was not a big discount for the dealer. I couldn't understand why, is there any policy change in the price list of Leica lenses especially after the new 50'cron?
TshawM8 Posted August 9, 2012 Share #12 Posted August 9, 2012 I used to work at a camera shop (Ace Photo) outside of DC. I dropped by today to pickup something and they just got a big shipment including a Noct (and some other goodies, one of which im buying myself)
