andalus Posted August 4, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just back to US from 10 days in London. Unfortunately, could not get tickets for Olympics, but never mind. Walked about 80 miles in the city with the M9. Visited the Leica store at Mayfair and RB Lewis, the latter where the manager lamented the tony Leica store, and suggested Leica was "mad" coming out with a $7k plus lens and other almost too expensive gear. Says the M10 will be $10k! Anyway, around London, had several people comment that I was carrying an "old fashioned" (film) camera and saw no one else with a Leica. I like my dinosaur M9 nonetheless.

andalus Posted August 4, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted August 4, 2012 I did indeed stop for several pints. Love the neighborhoods pub scenes. Lots and lots of very pretty girls on the streets, too. Great for my 60 plus year old eyes...and pulse.

Well if you could have been at Tower Bridge and the Southbank yesterday you'd have seen me with an antique M9 and a positively neolithic M6! It's a nice time for street photography around that area - so many cameras no one minds getting caught in the viewfinder of a stranger! r. antistatic Posted August 10, 2012 Share #12 Posted August 10, 2012 I enjoyed those, though I think you are brave getting your camera out in a public toilet.
