mija1789 Posted July 6, 2012 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2012 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Is anyone using a polarizing filter on their D2? If yes, which one and is it worth it? I had looked at Heliopan but they are a bit expensive with a 69mm thread. Hence I was considering a 69-67 step down ring, as 67mm filters are much easier to find and less expensive. Good or bad thinking? Thanks Michel Edit: purpose being for macro and landscape Edited July 6, 2012 by mija1789 To clarify post
Advertisement Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Hi mija1789, Take a look here Pola Filter on D2?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Pol-Alexandre Posted July 8, 2012 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2012 I have some day discovered a Leica E72 (18673), I am using it with a step-up ring 69-72. (I am reluctant to step-down (risk of vignetting ?). It is efficient against reflections and to enhance blue sky. I also own a 69 mm (Japan-no name), equally good. If you are interested by this one, let me know. Vive Digilux 2 !
mija1789 Posted July 20, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted July 20, 2012 Pol-Alexandre, Awfully sorry for my very late reply due to being away. As your no-name filter is as good as the Leica one, I would indeed be interested. How shall we proceed? Thanks Michel

doubice Posted July 28, 2012 Share #5 Posted July 28, 2012 I have been using a 69 to 67mm step down adapter on my Digilux 2 for years. There is no vignetting at all and unlike the step-up 69 to 72mm adapter, you can continue using the original lens shade. Best, Jan
