cocker Posted June 19, 2012 Share #3 Posted June 19, 2012 Good for Ilford. I think they are onto something with their leading lines: "In our modern digital age where technology envelops us and increasingly drives our lives, for many people getting away from technology back to artisan skills is a growing passion. B&W analogue photography unlike digital is very much an artisan process and as such is loved by those who use it and in particular thousands of young people enjoying it for the first time when studying photography at college. It is increasingly being taken as a higher education subject by a larger proportion of women than men." It seems a bit pricey and wandering around Bradford is not necessarily designed to inspire. I thought from the photos on the site a night in the Dales might be on offer. I wish them luck with the venture.

Rolo Posted June 19, 2012 Share #6 Posted June 19, 2012 Course Leader, Andrew Sanderson, also runs one-on-one Workshop at his own darkroom in Holmfirth. His charge is £250 a day, but I've previously read that he'll reduce the rate if there are two pupils wanting to cover the same topics. Personal tuition may be more fruitful for the intermediate and advanced worker who already have some competency. His details are here: WORKSHOPS
