Advertisement Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Hi Edward77, Take a look here Adding a border in LR. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
StephenPatterson Posted May 29, 2012 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2012 You can add a border in the LR print module under "Stroke Border" and select a solid color and width, but this will not be "saved" with the image. Certain plug-ins, such as Nik Silver Efex Pro have more styles and textures, as well as the ability to add a border to the image file. If you are wanting to print an A3 from a jpeg I would not downsize the image, just convert from DNG.
Jeff S Posted May 29, 2012 Share #3 Posted May 29, 2012 Both Kelby and Evening discuss an alternative method by creating a border in Photoshop and then applying it in LR using an identity plate. Here is an old tutorial from Kelby using LR 1 and CS3, but the principles still apply. And this is a video from Sean McCormack that quickly demonstrates the technique.
