AbbeyFoto Posted May 2, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted May 2, 2012 I am attracted to cloudscapes but I find it difficult to get both the sky/clouds and landscape looking right. I have to suggest you have same issue. Your photo is better than many of mine - the sky is good, but the landscape foreground looks washed out. Anyway thanks for the post and I look forward to more. pauledell Posted May 3, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted May 3, 2012 Tony, Â I like them both. Great composition, tones and sharpness. The first picture could use a little tad of darkening/contrast. The sky of the second is beautiful. Â Paul
Pintpot Posted May 3, 2012 Author Share #5 Â Posted May 3, 2012 Hi Chris, Stuart & Paul Thanks for the comments:D I mostly use the Heliopan #695 IR filter (89B) for hand held IR as I can expose at about 1/60th st f4 on a bright day - it passes through light at the 695nm range, for better - more IR - 'dripping with light' results #715 (88A) or #780 (87) work well with the M8. The only 'downer' on the more opaque filters is that then I've got to take a tripod.
