Advertisement Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Hi marc_dufour, Take a look here Heavy sky upon the the Baltic sea. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted May 1, 2012 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2012 Marc, A shot that certainly depicts the mood of a day like this. I would have found this to be somewhat monotonous if it weren't for the light clouds in the middle of the picture. The composition is probably as good as it can be. marc_dufour Posted May 1, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted May 1, 2012 Paul, In this kind of picture, I can't deny the influence of some abstract painters whose work I still keep in the retina, since the 70's. It is interesting to observe that it is precisely the nature photography which allows emerge these roots, forty years later. Thanks for your time, observation and kind comment. Well of course Josef Albers from the Bahuas era comes to mind, I like this..it would be interesting to see if you could extend this in to all the colour experiments he did over 35 years and Mark Rothko!! Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM

Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM In the moment Malevich painted his "White on white", he defined the painting limits. Even so, I still enjoy with abstract painting, John, and have a good stack of books about. But in the strict observation of the environment (in the widest sense), there is so much more... Thanks for commenting. Cheers, Marc
