LeicaBraz Posted April 30, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted April 30, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Upgraded to SilverEfex 2 and can't make it work with LR4 (everything was ok with previous version). Have tried deleting the preference files but no go. Have already mailed Nik Software with my problem but maybe some of the knowledgeable Forum members can offer some advice. SilverEfex shows up in the "Edit in" under photo, but when clicking nothing happens. Works well with Aperture which I very seldom use. Advertisement Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Hi LeicaBraz, Take a look here SilverEfex 2 problem. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted April 30, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted April 30, 2012 It's a known problem with LR4. External editors will only work if Photoshop CS5 is installed. Â There should be a new release of LR4 that fixes the problem soon - you may even be able to find the release candidate for 4.1 if you Google it. stickan1 Posted April 30, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted April 30, 2012 I am using LR 4.1 RC2 without any problems. It seems that they take their time before releasing the final version this time.
