Bleeding problem?

Hi!

I noticed a while back that many shots taken with high ISO have bleeding (usually redish) on the left and right sides of the picture.

Does anyone know if this normal?

I attached a shot from today that illustrates the fenomenon. Excuse the quality (both artistially and technically), but I pimped it a bit to show the problem more clearly.

I just ran out of warranty, should I worry?

Well, if you underexpose by nearly 3 stops at ISO 2500, what do you expect? Check your histogram. More than half of it on the righthand side is completely empty.

You should worry if it appears on well-exposed shots, but for the moment it looks like clumps of chroma noise.

Given the quality of your work on your website, I'm sure you have plenty of good high-ISO shots to check.

Thank you Jaapv for your reply. And thank you for all replies you have made in this wonderful forum (which I have followed closely for 2 years). You are of course right. I looked at other shots ISO 2500 with a "good" histogram - and they do not show this "bleeding".

I have had some sensor problems with my M9 (that Leica has fixed) and was worried I got yet another one now that warranty is gone, but alas, all is fine! And I will continue to press the trigger with happy smile :)
