albygentle Posted April 9, 2012 Author Share #21 Posted April 9, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) wow...someone in this thread suggested I tried the camera before buying, to which I responded I would try to go to the store and try it but I was planning on purchasing from an online dealer. this has then gotten distorted to believing i will actually go and try it to a shop to ask all sorts of questions and handle their equipment, then I will screw them over so I can buy from someone else. I can't remember any time I have ever done this in my life, I always know what I am purchasing, and If I am not content, it gets returned. Simple as that. so I suggest you guys relax with all these assumptions. Thanks deeply for all the helpful advice, after all this is what this forum is made for right? The chances of me going to a shop to try a Leica m8 are low to none...as are the chances of continuing to contribute and ask advice on this board when I get this sort of attitude from certain members over nothing. But I appreciate all of those who actually made a useful contribution. cheers.
Advertisement Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Hi albygentle, Take a look here about to change from Nikon to Leica M. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted April 9, 2012 Share #22 Posted April 9, 2012 So why would you buy online when you have access to a dealer? It cannot be the price, Leicas cost much the same anywhere. One of the few other reasons might be availability - but in that case there would be nothing to try out in the shop.
