As far as I am aware no dealer in USA , Australia , Europe or uk has one. I bought one recently from a real Leica man unopened in the box for the new price. I have just sold my Leica embarrassment called the m8 and am waiting for price drop on m9-p

Mine came in after approx. 6 months. Lots of threads on this recently...

PS I strongly disagree with calling the M8 an embarrassment. It was a revolutionary camera, that many people had been waiting for years to acquire. Yes, it had it's issues, but M8s produce outstanding images. If it had come with a full frame sensor I would still own one as a backup, instead of having two M9-Ps.

Loved my M8 just needed(wanted) native focal lengths.

Totally agree. If it wasn't for the full frame thingy I would still have the M8.

For OP I ordered through Popflash in Oct and just got it yesterday.

A big batch just went out world wide. I think Popflash got 3 last week and there were none during Nov, Dec. and Jan.

It seems production is picking up a little.

While you look, almost every dealer in London currently has a used Asph non-FLE 35mm in stock, all in good condition, boxed etc. Currently these are going for £2500, and unless you simply must shoot at f2.8, the FLE offers no real advantage IMHO. I have the pre-FLE and it's a stunning lens.

Good point to reflect on. Also see the point that it's a fairly substantial amount of money to spend as opposed to getting focus tweaking when shooting some apertures under my skin. But I suppose I'd rather splash the cash than having shots out of focus (saying this in danger of starting a whole new discussion about focussing techniques).

I know what you mean here, but it's only a problem in certain circumstances, and for the way I shoot it is a problem 0% of the time. No, really.

The reason being that most of my shots are at f1.4 as the look is just so gorgeous. But sometimes, I want more sharpness and more DOF, so I head for f5.6 and upwards. Since the only shifty problems lie between these points (and really by f4 it's probably not going to bother you) and I rarely want to shoot specifically at f2.8, I never have any disappointments with it at all, and don't dwell on leaning in or out of the shot to second guess the shift, since so long as you miss those few troublesome settings, all is good.

Personally, at £2500 I think it's a snip - partly since it saves on buying the FLE, and partly cos it's my favourite lens in my fairly large collection. It has a certain magic wide open that I've found no other lens to match. I'd say try it, and if it doesn’t suit you won't lose much, if anything selling it on.
