dewsweeper Posted April 3, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted April 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Enjoying an astonishingly warm March day with my family, we happened upon this beautiful car. I stopped and took a few snaps, and we went across the street to cool my car lust with ice cream. Â Â Â While we were admiring the car from a distance, the owner returned. And hot on her heels, the parking enforcement officer arrived. Now, street photography is not my usual thing. I didn't want to get into anything. But the cowboy and police hats proved more powerful than my ice cream and shyness. Bracing myself to intrude on an argument about parking tickets, I moved in. Â Â The officer turned out to be as crazy about the car as I am. Sharing his enthusiasm, he got down behind the car to point out the way the exhaust vents through the bumper. I almost chickened out, but I took the shot. stuny Posted April 3, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted April 3, 2012 Dawn - Â Beautiful car (a 1956 model - the two seat versions ran from '55 through '57, and Ford built them to combat GM's Corvette, released in '53), lovely shots, but you've told us nothing of the ice cream (yet another of my too many passions). pauledell Posted April 3, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted April 3, 2012 A great series with special kudos for your courage and dedication as a photographer to take these. Lovely colors of the car (and the policeman). I assume the ice cream was equally tasteful. Â Paul

Thank you for the kind words and the year ID. Now I can ask the Sandman for one!  About the ice cream: please forgive the omission! It pleased my taste buds more than my eye. (Yum!) The ice cream was Bedford Farms "Cherry Bomb".
