stickan1 Posted March 30, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 30, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I had a chat with this gentleman when I took a morning walk. It is the fourth day without a single cloud so the light is harsh except for the mornings and evenings. This man told me that he had been on oil tankers for 10 years, then worked with fisheries the rest of his career. He is now retired, but do a lot of fishing in the summer. Bretagne, France. I had a 135 mm lens mounted so I had to step back to get his portrait.

Bill Allsopp Posted March 30, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 30, 2012 Superb portrait, the 135 has isolated him well and all that's left is the warmth shining through.

Spo Posted March 31, 2012 Share #4 Posted March 31, 2012 Great portrait, how about a B&W version?
stickan1 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted April 1, 2012 Great portrait, how about a B&W version? Here it comes! But in this case I myself prefer the color version, his suntan and the blue ocean behind him tells things about him that don't come so easy in the B/W version. Thanks for looking and commenting.
