marc_dufour Posted March 31, 2012 Author Share #8 Posted March 31, 2012 Michael, Thanks a lot. I'm very grateful with your kind comment. Paul, Hypnotic was the slow and each time different movement of the seaseeds. I just sayed there ten minutes, but it deserved some hours, no doubt. Thank you so much! farnz Posted April 1, 2012 Share #9 Posted April 1, 2012 Marc, It could just as easily be a luxurious deep pile carpet or grasses blown by the wind. Very appealing. I too enjoy using the 5D2 and 100/2.8 APO-Macro-Elmarit-R and particularly LiveView for macros. pete.
marc_dufour Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share #10 Posted April 1, 2012 Pete, Thanks for your kind comment ! The combination of 5DMkII and Apo-Macro 100 is probably the closest of perfection I know, adding the 50 'Cron What adapter do you use? Do you get focus confirmation? Thanks a lot and best regards

farnz Posted April 1, 2012 Share #12 Posted April 1, 2012 Pete, Thanks for your kind comment ! The combination of 5DMkII and Apo-Macro 100 is probably the closest of perfection I know, adding the 50 'Cron What adapter do you use? Do you get focus confirmation? Thanks a lot and best regards Marc, I agree - the 100/2.8 is a stunning lens and is complemented by the 5D2. I use the CameraQuest adaptor, which is superbly machined, sturdy, and stays on the camera body. I've never really bothered with focus confirmation. I think I may have been put off early on by the stories of the chips coming unglued. Incidentally, I've recently 'discovered' the Seagull viewfinder, which clips over the 5D2's LCD and lets you use LiveView as an EVF. This becomes very useful for shooting hand-held in low light because the LCD adjusts its brightness and you can use the 10x magnification to nail focus. It's probably not something that everyone will take to but it's offered me some pictures that I wouldn't have been able to take otherwise. Pete. marc_dufour Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share #13 Posted April 1, 2012 Bill, I had a look to your website. What a brunch of superb pictures. Some of your landscapes photos are trully awesome ! Thanks for it.
marc_dufour Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share #14 Posted April 1, 2012 Pete, Your answer is so interesting. ! I use Leitax adapters, but it entails an adapter for each lens. The adapter stays screwed on the lens. It prevents the use of Elpro or Leica extenders... so, your information is very useful About the Seagull Viewfinder, no doubt, I've to try it ! My eyes are beginning to fail and it can be a great help. Thank you so much !

marc_dufour Posted April 1, 2012 Author Share #18 Posted April 1, 2012 David, The strange colours and the slow movement, with each new wave, were precisely what struck me... something hypnotic, as wrote Paul above. Thank you so much for your kind comment.
