Cooking Korean fried chicken somehow removes the subcutaneous fat, allowing the chicken to develop a thin, crispy skin, which is usually seasoned after frying. This is the first Korean fried chicken store in the Korean section of midtown (5th Avenue at 32nd Street). It didn't take long for two competitors to open up within a block of it. Same thing happened with Pinkberry frozen yogurt, only that one produced three imitators within one block (32nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue).

This shot is from 6:20 AM a few days ago.
