Skippy Sanchez Posted February 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wondering if I run any risks by mounting non-coded lenses on the M8 while 'lens detection' is turned on. I'm using two M8s and tend to jockey coded and non-coded lenses back and forth when shooting assignments depending on the focal-length need of the moment. I tried keeping one M8 disabled and the other abled(?) but when I'm shooting & the fat is in the fire, I'm usually concentraiting more on getting the shot than remembering which camera is which. I'm using more non-coded lenses than coded, by the way. So, will I end up melting some microchip or something? Thanks- -Skippy

george + Posted February 28, 2007 Share #2 Posted February 28, 2007 Skippy, I don't know if you cause any harm but I doubt it. One interesting thing, I just loaded 1.091 and it recognized my uncoded 90mm Tele Elmarit, I am one happy camper.
