For the camera, the subject.. I think you could do much better..

I know that seems unkind..but heck if I just posted "nice picture" it would be meaningless flattery.

Well many things, one is that the actual definition of the subject..St Michael is, well distorted, not well defined..the exposure or the way the image was handles makes all the detail go missing.

The foreground is more interesting than the subject..so there is a split..which is the subject..the Dwemer ruins art in the foreground or the actual monument.

The lens and camera are "noted" for their characteristic sharpness and tone definition, thats missing here

So the subject, St Michael ..might as well be something else, its incidental.

Lastly if this was a "once of trip" I would make sure, as a photographer, that I would chose both low tide and high tide as my visiting times. Frame from a distance and up close, change my approach so that the lighting "brings out" the features of this unique landmark..etc.etc.

I am sorry this image, just doesn't have any of the elements that would make it both interesting and "crystallize".

Lastly I also suspect that the image has also seriously reduced from its original, if you shot this in RAW, there is perhaps a chance to salvage some of the image.

Cheers, JRM
