esophoria Posted November 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm not sure if this is an issue or normal behavior: I have my M9 set to auto-off after 2 min. I'll sometimes notice if I keep the on switch on...but after 2min...the M9 will have shut off. I now notice that if I focus the lens...I will not see any change in the focusing patch when viewing through the viewfinder and rotating the lens. Is this normal behavior? I notice this behavior if I leave the M9 on....but I believe it is auto-sleeping. For certain turning the M9 off then on...restores it to normal behavior. Thanks.... tele_player Posted November 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted November 3, 2011 The focusing system is 100% mechanical and optical - it has no relation to on/off. More likely you are blocking the viewfinder window with a finger.
250swb Posted November 3, 2011 Share #3 Posted November 3, 2011 Yes, finger trouble. It is the little window at the front you are blocking. Steve
