Advertisement Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Hi MarkP, Take a look here NGV Lounge Chair, Melbourne. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted October 30, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 30, 2011 Mark, A nice set of pictures. Fine composition, tones, contrast and sharpness. I like the second shot for its depth and selective focus. Also, the third one is great for the patterns and composition. Paul

Morry Katz Posted December 2, 2011 Share #7 Posted December 2, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) So who actually created the chair. The designer deserves all the credit.
MarkP Posted December 4, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted December 4, 2011 Thanks so much for the backhand insult:( Actually, I agree with you about the extraordinary design. There was nothing on or near the chair at the time. I'll try to find out when I'm next in Melbourne (I live in Sydney), or perhaps one of the Melbourne-based members could ask when next in the gallery. StephenPatterson Posted December 4, 2011 Share #9 Posted December 4, 2011 Mark, I love #3. Perhaps on your next visit you can get your wife or someone to sit in the chair, as without the first two photos I'm not sure if I would have known what the object was. Almost looks like a strange corporate logo on a slate wall. You have an excellent eye to spot such an interesting object and to be able to photograph it in a way that causes the viewer to ask questions. Well done!!! MarkP Posted December 5, 2011 Author Share #10 Posted December 5, 2011 I did manage to get one at the time but my wife was not exactly thrilled with me taking yet another photograph of a lounge. The look I got from her in the next photograph (not for publication) would have cracked any ordinary lens!
StephenPatterson Posted December 5, 2011 Share #11 Posted December 5, 2011 This one is definitely my favorite of the set. The human element makes all the difference. Thanks, and well done!!! Stephen

MarkP Posted January 3, 2012 Author Share #13 Posted January 3, 2012 Thanks Alun, by 'empty' do you mean that you would prefer to see someone seated as in post #10? Mark
MrEd Posted January 3, 2012 Share #14 Posted January 3, 2012 The third one hits the spot! Thanks for sharing. Ed. .
