rjjackson Posted October 28, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I have just a couple brief questions. Do you know if it's possible to use two filters on the f4 21mm SA without vignetting? Say, for example, a color filter and a polarizer? On that note, do you know whose 39mm filters are thinner, the Heliopan slim or the B+W F-Pro? Thanks! RJ

RJ The lens is vigneting already by itself and have some distorsion. about the number of filters the best way is the old one "try and error".
gyoung Posted October 28, 2011 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2011 Think of the effect on the image of the refraction of all those very oblique rays going through two layers of glass! If looking for the best quality possible with a very wide angle lens I would remove even one glass filter never mind two, and use a gelatin if necessary.
