Advertisement Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Hi Michael Hiles, Take a look here Survived Nero. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted October 28, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted October 28, 2011 Michael, Â An excellent picture with the composition, the perfect lighting, the magnificent tones and sharpness with the fine details. A shame there was a person standing ahead of you but it doesn't distract from the picture that much. Â Paul
Paul Verrips Posted October 28, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted October 28, 2011 I think the person adds something to the picture.
Michael Hiles Posted October 28, 2011 Author Share #4 Â Posted October 28, 2011 Thanks to you both. Avoiding others was not possible when this picture was made. The Vatican Museums get very busy very quickly - the Sistene Chapel is like the London Underground at rush hour (claustrophobic), and the rest is little better. Â I would have been disturbed if the person had been blond and in the light - i.e. if she were bright in the picture. As it is, she adds a small sense of being there. This is not only a picture of the statue, but also of the place.
