erl Posted February 17, 2007 Share #21  Posted February 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just for fun, since I have been considering buying a commercial device for white balancing, I have followed some of the above suggestions and come up with my own very easy, and apparently accurate(?) method as follows.  Cut the bottom off a plastic milk bottle (empty:D ) with swiss army knife and hold over lens when 'whitebalncing'. Took me at leat 3 minutes to make and use. See pic below, made using it for the white balance in the below image. No other adjustments performed except downsizing for web and converting to source profile. ie Camera embedded profile to sRGB.  Judge for yourselves.  Can't give an accurate costing. ;)  I should add, M8 + 50mm cron with 486 IR cut filter.
