marknorton Posted February 14, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I live in hope that Leica UK may start getting their act together by finding something out about this new M8 thing that's been foisted upon them. The signs are not good, last I heard, they were still trying to work out where the film goes. Â For people in the UK, take a look at the "British English" option on the Leica web-site, Compact Cameras and as an introductory caption, you get this tripe... Â "A tug-of-war is developing. The Labrador - front legs stretched out stiff, brakes full on - has the head of a yard brush clamped in his jaws, bristles either side of his face. At the opposite end of the brush, two small children are hauling hard on the handle. Suddenly the dog lets go. The brush and the children go flying. With a Leica compact, you'd have the perfect picture.....of a dog laughing!" Â So while the Germans, Italians, French and our trans-atlantic friends see information on the camera's design and functionality, we get to read of Fido's antics. Â Call me cynical, but I think they've comprehensively lost the plot.
