wetworx Posted September 17, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was wondering what could cause this? It happened to six photos in my roll. I tested the shutter at various speeds with a local repairman, and neither of us saw (though I know eyes can be fallible) an issue. Could it be the film advance mechanism? Thanks for the input. spydrxx Posted September 17, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2011 I see you posted the same question on photo.net. I tend to agree with the assessments offered there...have a competent repairperson recheck your shutter.
pop Posted September 17, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2011 Are there any moving parts on the outside of the camera which are connected to the shutter?
wetworx Posted September 18, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted September 18, 2011 no moving parts and yes I thought it best to consult multiple sources I guess it's an indeterminable shutter issue, that I'll have to deal with by "bracketing" more.
earleygallery Posted September 18, 2011 Share #5 Posted September 18, 2011 How will bracketing help?? Possibly a shutter fault but check the negs to rule out a processing issue first!
martinis Posted September 18, 2011 Share #6 Posted September 18, 2011 looks like the shutter is sticking/slowing part way across resulting in overexposure and camera shake.
